Confirmed and submitted by opponent John Scott who says 'I have never seen such a surprised expression on anyone's face. Richly deserved after many years playing as a low handicapper. Next one will come sooner.']

[Hit a great 8-iron with sidespin which took the ball in towards the flag. My playing partners Eddie Laughton and Colin Blues roared It's in the hole! I thought it was a wind-up as I couldn't see the hole from the tee. Won the 'poonds' a 2 at the 6th handicap cut - a golfing day to remember.]
